Park Reservations

The City of Peru rents out its park shelters for $20 or $30 for its shelters depending on which shelter.

Must call 765-472-2400 to reserve and pay for any of our City park shelters!

Below is a description of our shelters:

Shelter 1E/W: Located in lower Maconaquah Park off of Strawtown Pike, across the creek and to the left. Basketball court is close by, restroom nearby, plenty of parking, open space, playground on site, and many picnic tables.

Rentable for $30/day. Largest shelter. Maconaquah Park-lower park area accessible from Strawtown Pike. Equipped with electric, a grill and lights. ↓

Shelter 2: Located in lower Maconaquah Park off of Strawtown Pike just beyond the playground. There is a grill on site. Restrooms are nearby. It's located in a shaded area and has electrical hook-up capabilities.

Rents for $20/day. Maconaquah Park-lower park area accessible from Strawtown Pike. You can NOT drive to this shelter. The road has been gated to prevent driving so close to the playground. ↓

Shelter 3: Located at the top of the hill on Park Drive by the golf course near the creek. Is not ideal for those with ambulatory issues. Is near a playground, has restrooms, a grill, as well as electrical hook-up capabilities.

Rents for $20/day. Maconaquah Park-upper park near golf course on right as you enter that drive. ↓

Shelter 4: Located on Park Drive near the amphitheater. Is adjacent to the playground and has a large parking area. Restrooms are located across the parking lot. There is a grill on site, and it has electric. 

Rents for $20/day. Maconaquah Park off Park Drive. Sits just down the hill from South Peru School and overlooks the amphitheater. ↓

Shelter 5: Located at the top of the hill on Park Drive by the golf course near the trees on flat ground. Also close to the horseshoe pits. Has a playground, restrooms, grill and electric. 

Rents for $20/day. Maconaquah Park-upper park near golf course on right as you enter that drive. ↓

Shelter 6: Located at the corner of Main and Water Street. Has a grill, no electric, no restrooms, playground on site and basketball courts.

Rents for $20/day. Street parking. Playground equipment installed in 2016. Basketball court resurfaced in 2021. ↓

Shelter 7: Located at West City Park. Next to the girls softball field.  Has access to the river overlook. Has electrical, a grill, a playground and is located on a flat area. 

Rents for $20/day. West City Park by girl's softball field. Equipped with electric and lights and a grill. Restrooms & playground onsite. ↓

Shelter 8: Located on Park Drive up the hill from the disc golfers' parking area. There is a built-in fire pit on site, as well as bathrooms. Has electrical hook-up. There is no playground nearby. 

Rents for $20/day. In Maconaquah Park on Park Drive, just past the Parks Department Building on left. This shelter is at the top of the hill from the parking lot. ↓

Shelter 9: Located on the Riverwalk on Canal Street west of the playground, and is the closest shelter to the skate park. There is a large grassy area, access to grilling, restrooms, and the walkway. Has electrical hook-up. 

Shelter 9 is west of Miami's Fort (between Miami's Fort and Pickleball Courts)

Rents for $20/day. Miami's Fort and HC Park (all-inclusive playground) is abutting to the shelter. ↓

Shelter 10: Located on the Riverwalk on Canal Street east of the playground. Is by a large parking lot, and has access to grilling, restrooms and the walkway. Has electrical hook-up.

Shelter 11: Located at West City Park next to the playground. Is close to the restrooms and has a grill. Has no electrical hook up. 

Rents for $20/day. At West City Park near the Little League Field. No electric at this shelter. Restrooms & playground onsite. ↓
