Properties for Sale
Sale of City Owned Property
Occasionally, the City of Peru offers various city owned properties for sale. The purpose of selling the City’s surplus property is to eliminate the need for City property maintenance and to place the properties back on the property tax roll. The City of Peru currently has several vacant lots available for sale. Legal notice of the property locations will be published in the Peru Tribune with more details.
The Request for Bid document, which lists the locations of the properties and provides bidding instruction information, can be downloaded from this website. Individuals can also contact Brenda Douglass at 765-919-4124 or via email at bdouglass@cityofperu.org to request a paper copy.
The City is not conducting an auction for these properties. Written sealed bids must be submitted by interested parties to City Hall Purchasing by 4:00 p.m. on the date specified in the Bid document. The bids will be opened at the Board of Works for review on the same evening that the bids are due.
